Our Story

Founded in 2010, Skin R.N. is a female-owned medical spa dedicated to helping our patients look and feel their best through personalized, results-driven aesthetic care. What began with a passion for providing high-quality services to our community has grown into a trusted destination for advanced medical aesthetics in Southeast Wisconsin. 

Over the years, our team and treatment offerings have continued to grow, but our commitment remains the same: exceptional care, advanced treatments, natural-looking results, and an experience centered around each patients's individual goals. 

Chris Bloom, R.N., B.S.N., is the founder of Skin R.N. and a Master Nurse Injector with more than 30 years of healthcare experience and over 25 years dedicated to medical aesthetics. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and has built her career around providing exceptional, personalized patient care. Chris has extensive advanced education and training in aesthetic medicine, specializing in BOTOX®, Dysport®, dermal fillers, laser and light-based treatments, Ultherapy, skin rejuvenation, and medical-grade skincare. Her nursing background also includes experience in surgical services, obstetrics, and emergency medicine, giving her a strong clinical foundation in patient care and safety. Since entering the aesthetic field in 2000, Chris has continued to pursue advanced training and education in the latest techniques and technologies. She is passionate about creating natural-looking, individualized results that enhance each patient’s unique features while helping them feel confident in their appearance.

As the founder of Skin R.N., Chris continues to lead her team with a commitment to experience, education, safety, and excellence in medical aesthetics. She proudly treats patients at both our Kenosha and Janesville locations.

Alexis Ortiz, R.N., is an Aesthetic Nurse Injector with a strong nursing foundation and a passion for helping patients feel confident while maintaining natural-looking results. After graduating from nursing school in 2024, Alexis began her nursing career in Med-Surg before transitioning to the Emergency Department, where she continues to practice as a Registered Nurse. Alexis began her journey in aesthetics training under Chris Bloom, R.N., B.S.N., Master Nurse Injector, gaining hands-on experience and continuing education in aesthetic medicine. Her clinical nursing background, combined with her aesthetic training, allows her to provide thoughtful, patient-centered care with an emphasis on safety, education, and individualized results. Alexis specializes in BOTOX®, Dysport®, dermal fillers, and medical-grade skincare. Her approach focuses on enhancing each patient’s natural features, creating balance, and developing treatment plans tailored to their individual goals. Alexis believes the best aesthetic results should still look like you. She proudly treats patients at both our Kenosha and Janesville locations and is committed to making every patient feel heard, educated, comfortable, and confident throughout their aesthetic journey.

With 20 years of experience in skincare and aesthetics and 14 years as part of the Skin R.N. team, Brandy brings extensive knowledge and personalized approach to helping patients achieve healthy, confident skin. She holds a bachelor's degree from Millikin University and began her career in pharmaceutical sales specializing in Dermatology and Women's Health before becoming a Licensed Aesthetician and Laser Technician. Brandy has advanced training in laser and light-based treatments, Scarlet SRF, SkinPen micro-needling, Clear+Brilliant, Ultherapy, chemical peels, medical-grade skincare, and other advanced aesthetic technologies. She has special interest in helping women navigate skin changes associated with perimenopause and menopause, including collagen loss, laxity pigmentation texture, and overall skin quality. Known affectionately as the "Ace of Face," Brandy believes in combining advanced treatments with patient education to create thoughtful, individualized treatment plans. She sees patients at both our Kenosha and Janesville locations.

With 20 years of experience in skincare and aesthetics and 8 years as part of the Skin R.N. team, Tricia brings extensive knowledge, advanced training, and a passion for helping patients look and feel their best. She graduated from The Institute of Beauty and Wellness and continued her education in advanced laser services at the Mequon Thiensville School of Esthetics. Throughout her career, Tricia has pursued advanced training and certifications in laser treatments, SkinPen microneedling, medical chemical peels, CoolSculpting, EMSCULPT, and medical-grade skincare. Her years of hands-on experience allow her to create personalized treatment plans focused on each patient's individual skin and aesthetic goals. In 2025, Tricia expanded her expertise by graduating from nursing school and becoming a Registered Nurse, bringing an additional level of clinical knowledge to her work in aesthetics. Her combination of nursing education and two decades of aesthetic experience allows her to approach patient care with both medical and skincare perspective. She currently sees patients at our Kenosha location.
